Meet the Characters of "Law and Disorder: Parners Undercover"

Morgan Dane – Former child psychologist turned Northern Ohio Law Enforcement Task Force member is 33-years of age, African-American, single, and dedicated to capturing Cleveland's most dangerous drug dealer. Her hobbies are working out, running, baseball and spending time alone. Considered a tomboy, she does not like to wear dresses and prefers the comfort of cargo pants, ponytails and combat boots when hunting criminals. She eats mostly take-out from the local diner instead of cooking for herself. Keeping her private life private, Morgan doesn't indulge much about herself to any of her colleagues except Carmen Maria. She does on occasion hang out with her college sorority sister and friend Monica. The two were very close until Monica does the unthinkable, which puts a strain on their friendship.

Adam Cabrera – an eleven-year veteran for Miami's Fugitive Task Force, joined the Cleveland Division after his partner was killed during a bank heist. 34-years of age, single and of Puerto Rican heritage, his hobbies include, all sports, working out, video games, cooking and playing piano. Known for having a keen sense of humor, he keeps his colleges laughing but when the action starts he is on top of his game and the go to guy. Attractive and charming, two women at FBI headquarters immediately set their sights on the new agent and try to impress him, only his attraction lays elsewhere and getting that attraction returned has become harder than any mission he has encountered in his career.

Carmen Maria – Another member of the Northern Ohio Law Enforcement Task Force and right hand to Commander Philip Talbert is 44-years old, Puerto Rican and engaged to retired Task Force member, Steven Benson. Carmen is friendly and often mothers the younger agents. Best friends with colleague, Morgan Dane, Carmen has made it her mission to make sure Morgan is in a secure relationship before she marries and retires from the force. She feels Morgan is in the prime of her life but spends too much time alone after her live-in boyfriend leaves her.

Paul Hamilton – Detroit's Fugitive Task Force member working with the Cleveland division, meets Morgan when they team up to capture Cleveland most wanted. Paul is immediately drawn to the petite but feisty agent and would like nothing more than to be the number one man in her life. Obstacles stand in his way of becoming that man, and the fact they live in different states doesn't help matters either. The handsome African-American corporate lawyer turned FBI agent has to find a way to gain Morgan's trust and prove he is worthy of winning her heart.

Taking Your Thoughts and Ideas

Well the Fall season has begun.  I'm finishing my fourth book "Law and Disorder: Partners Undercover."  I have vague ideas for my fifth book but a good title has not come to mind yet.  I love suspense and drama but might go purely romance with this book.  Maybe a relationship going on the wayside type of story with the characters finding their way back to each other by the end---this is really not my style.  I think I will stick with my suspense and keep the suspense until the very end.

I'm bringing back the Lofton sisters but not sure which sister will feel the sting of this suspense novel.  Should the psychiatrist's rough edges be softened more, or the brilliant lawyer become hardened after her ordeal, or maybe the quiet scientist should see some spice in life or yet, the good sister who is always doing the right thing take a trip down the wrong path this time.

I haven't decided what I will do but I'm sure as I stare at my blank screen an idea or two will pop into my head to get me headed in the right direction.  In the meantime, I would love to hear from you and maybe if we come up with a few good ideas, we can co-author this book together.  Drop me an email if you are interested.

Random Events In My Fictional World

A few random things happening in my fictional world of late. First off, my blog is now called www.booksbytoye.com.  If you have me saved under the www.booksbytoye.blogspot.com, you will still be able to link to my blog; so no changes have there.

Second, the Michigan International Book Fest will be held at the end of October.  I will post more about that as the time nears.  It will be a three day event and I hope the weather and turnout will be great for this event.

My fourth book, "Law and Disorder: Partners Undercover" is coming along and should be released by winter if I can get the cover together.  The first round draft and proofing is with my proofreader and she is thrilled with the story thus far; I'm still working on the ending.  If and when I do another book, it will continue where the Lofton series ended.  I have had requests to follow-up with the Lofton clan and their lives of drama, romance, and suspense revolving around the church.  So be on the lookout for that.

To end my blogging today I will do it with a promo.  Winter is fast approaching it seems.  Here in Cleveland it was 90 degrees a few days before Labor Day. Monday, it was rainy and 68 degrees and the temps have not moved much since.  So while we get the hot chocolate and blankets out earlier than expected, curl up with a good romance suspense story.  If you are an eBook reader you can get all three for the low price of $0.99 from participating retailers.  Amazon, Barnes & Noble, smashwords.com just to name a few.  My website www.toyebrown.com  has specials running for paperback versions if you like the feel of pages flipping through your fingers.

Thank you for the support and for listening to what is going on in my fictional world.
