A sure sign of Spring is the announcement of opening day for Major League Baseball. Well, if you live on the East Coast, that can be a bit dicey. Opening day for the Cleveland Indians will be like going to a football game in November. Instead of a cold beer and Lemon Chill Icee, most people will be opting for the hot chocolate and a blanket.
If it were up to the fans, opening day would probably come around the first of June since it wouldn't be unusual for it to be cold until then. Everyone knows Cleveland is a die-hard fan city and will tolerate the weather for that first game of the season, however, any games after that is a coin toss until the weather warms up.
I will be sporting my Indian's gear and rooting them on for the first win of the season, only I will be in the comfort of my favorite chair with the heat set at a nice seventy-degrees.
